Charlie is Curbell Plastics’ Director of Marketing, in charge of all marketing, advertising, public relations, and e-commerce for this leading national distributor of performance plastics.

Experienced in the field of marketing, Riley most recently held the position of Director of Marketing and Communications at Lawley, a Buffalo-based Top 100 independent insurance broker, where he oversaw the implementation of a brand repositioning strategy for all 80 of the company’s product lines. Moreover, he held the position of Chief Marketing Officer at PLS 3rd Learning, where he oversaw the company’s marketing, business growth, and customer engagement strategies. Charlie has taught graduate-level marketing, communications, and public relations classes in addition to overseeing digital marketing for a large advertising agency.

He is a 2017 Buffalo Business First 40 Under 40 award, Leadership Buffalo graduate, and contributor to Forbes.

A person connector who can build a growth department from scratch or make changes for growth and combines demand creation, growth marketing, sales and partnerships, and brand marketing. As a player-coach tasked with creating a system, typically as the first marketing hire, I’ve discovered a place in the industry.

I am a multifaceted marketing communications, advertising, public relations, business development, sales, and branding expert with years of SaaS and software experience. I was hired as the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for a worldwide education technology business, a SaaS cybersecurity startup, a Top 5 plastics distributor, and a Top 50 independent insurance agency to lead or launch those sectors.

I’ve handled email marketing, omni channel marketing programmes, traditional and digital marketing and public relations campaigns, and business growth for more than 20 years.
